Some of the benefits of using mineral makeup are:
Mineral makeup is great for hiding the skin’s wrinkles (yes, you can use mineral makeup on ‘older skin’), crow’s feet and fine lines, large pores.
Mineral makeup doesn’t damage the skin with chemical additives. Though you must make sure that the mineral makeup you choose doesn’t contain fillers or chemicals because sadly many do. There are a lot of big companies that use chemicals, bismuth, fillers in their mineral makeup. Those things can lead to problems, so make sure to read the ingredients before purchasing.
Women who suffer with rosacea, acne, dryness and other skin ailments benefit from the ingredients found in mineral makeup.
Mineral makeup is good for women of all ages…from tweens on up. Tweens and teens benefit since they’re going through changes and possibly acne, break outs, etc. The ingredients are known to help with those skin conditions. All other women benefit from the mineral makeup because it’s good for their skin, versatile, has staying power and looks fresh and natural.
When purchasing mineral makeup, you’ll want to check with SafeCosmetics.org to verify the company is registered with them.
It’s also a benefit when dealing with a company that is also cruelty free. You know it’s a company that not only cares about the testing of product but about the animals and YOU!

Eyeliner can make even the smallest eyes appear larger, and really bring out eyes.
If you apply incorrectly, you’ll end up with too dark, harsh of a line and that’s not what you want.
Here’s some quick tips on how to do a basic eyeliner application.
For liquid and/or gel eyeliners:
Start by lining the eye from the inside of the lashes outward in one big sweep. If you’re using gel eyelinersgel eyeliners you’ll want to line the eye using an angled brush . You have to have a steady hand for this. If you can’t do it in one motion, you can also line the eye from the middle of the lash line and go outward. Then finish the line from the inner corner of the eye to the middle.
For bold & dramatic eyes:
Use different colors rather than the basic black.
Hold the skin of your upper lid taut, apply the liner from the middle of the eye to the outside corner of the eye. When you’re done with that, the second line goes from the inside corner of your eye, to the outer corner so the two lines meet. The outer edge of the line should be thicker than the inside.
For smoky eyes:
This is a trend that’s here to stay! Blending is the most important part of this application.
First you hold your upper lid taut, then apply eyeliner from the inside corner of the eye going outward. Draw strokes into the lash line. The middle of the line should be a bit thicker than the edges.
Then you use your finger to smudge/smear the liner.
Use an eyeshadow brush and apply eyeshadow over the eyeliner to set the line. Blend shadow well.
